The first ladies watch was mentioned in the Cartier archives in 1888, which was the general trend for the future. In 1904, Cartier made the Santos watch for the pilot Santos-Dumont. The success of this watch promoted Cartier to release other watches, forming Cartier's watchmaking tradition in the 20th century: Tonneau(1906), Tortue(1912), Tank(1919), Baignoire(1957), Panthere(1983), Pasha de Cartier(1985), Tank Francaise(1996). Collection Privée Cartier Paris: in 1997, Cartier decided to integrate their classic models and the most outstanding handmade watches into a series, which included Roadster(2002), Déclaration(2003), Santos 100(2004).
